What we do

Bookkeeping Services

Clean books, every month — so your business runs on real numbers and tax time isn't a fire drill. Monthly bookkeeping, year-end cleanup, and QuickBooks Online setup, all done by a tax-trained accountant who knows what April will need.

Monthly bookkeeping

Every month we categorize transactions, reconcile bank and credit-card accounts, and deliver clean financial statements. You see month-end profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash-flow snapshots without having to ask.

QuickBooks Online setup

Starting fresh? We set up your QuickBooks Online file: chart of accounts tailored to your business, bank and credit-card feeds, customer / vendor lists, products and services, sales-tax settings, and reporting templates. Migrating from spreadsheets, Wave, or another platform — we handle the import and starting balances.

Year-end cleanup and catch-up

Behind on books? We catch up the year — sometimes multiple years — and reconcile everything before tax preparation begins. The output is return-ready financials and a much shorter April.

Reconciliations, every month

All bank accounts, credit-card accounts, and merchant processors (Stripe, Square, PayPal, etc.). We tie out balances against statements and resolve discrepancies before they grow.

Owner compensation and equity tracking

Owner draws, contributions, and distributions are tracked separately from operating activity so basis, equity, and reasonable-compensation calculations are always current. This matters most for S-corps and partnerships.

Receipt and document workflow

We don't require receipts for everything, but for IRS-sensitive categories (meals, travel, vehicle, equipment) we set up a simple capture workflow — phone-photo, email forwarding, or a shared folder — so substantiation exists if it's ever asked for.

Sales tax, payroll, and 1099 prep

We coordinate with your sales-tax tool (TaxJar, Avalara) and payroll provider (Gusto, ADP, Rippling) so books reflect what those systems report. Year-end we prepare 1099-NEC for contractors and tie 941s to W-3 totals.

What you get each month

Reconciled accounts, profit & loss, balance sheet, statement of cash flows, and a short summary of anything unusual we noticed. If something needs your attention — a duplicate charge, an unrecognized vendor, an account drift — we flag it before close.

Common questions

Do you work in QuickBooks only?
Primarily QuickBooks Online — most common, most flexible, and integrates with everything. We can work in Xero or Wave on request.
How do I send you receipts and documents?
Through QuickBooks Online's mobile app (photo capture), a shared cloud folder, or a dedicated email. We set up whichever fits your workflow.
Can you handle invoicing and accounts receivable?
Yes — we can manage invoicing and A/R as an add-on, or you can invoice yourself and we record the activity.
What about payroll?
We coordinate with your payroll provider (Gusto, ADP, Rippling, etc.) and record payroll in your books. Direct payroll administration is a separate service we can refer.
Do you take over from another bookkeeper?
Yes. We routinely take over from outgoing bookkeepers or DIY setups. The first step is a diagnostic — we tell you what's clean, what needs work, and what it costs to fix before committing.
